“clam”

1.6m x 1.4m – acrylic, oil, enamel, spraypaint and crayon on stretched canvas.

One of my regular clients commissioned me to produce an abstract piece for her newly renovated exclusive property on the cliffs overlooking Clifton Beach in Cape Town. The canvas was layered multiple times and was made up of thick impasto in parts. It wasn’t my intention, but the result was quite dramatic. I enjoyed pushing and pulling back the paint around on this canvas. I was ready to change it all, but it seemed to work when we finally hung it. So we left it as it.
